The first design to be released is the Concentric, 83mm conical burr hand grinder.
As the name suggests the design objective was to keep everything concentric. This has been achieved by mounting everything important coaxially, the toque tube connects to the outer burr holder and the drive shaft runs through the centre of the torque tube. This design ensures everything remains aligned under load and temperature variations.
Adjustment is by a drive shaft mounted knob, this is stepless and reads to 0.001mm, the dial rotates with the shaft to ensure there is no float in adjustment while rotating.

The 820g stainless steel fly wheel is only 60mm diameter but due to being geared at 6.5 times crank speed it carries the kinetic energy of a much larger flywheel while allowing the design to be visually pleasing in the kitchen. This also helps the weight stay under 8.5kg so its easy to move and efficient to ship.

83mm burrs are the ideal balance of speed and usability, it only takes around 15 seconds to grind 20g of beans to espresso size at a sensible speed.
The handle shapes and positions proved extremely important, designing the machine was straight forwards, creating the style took imagination but making it work well with the human took a lot of trial and error.

The build quality is far beyond what is normal in this industry, every morning when you use this grinder I want you to feel and appreciate the quality.
Plastic free* (Almost) on your beans journey it will not touch plastic, the only plastic used is on ball bearing seals and the handle bush. This is for health and longevity of you and the machine.
